So far that’s always been a very tight “yes”… With the tele in particular, you need the skinniest battery you can find; Energizer is usually about 1/16th inch narrower than most of the others. On some teles the paint comes around the edges of the cavity and makes the fat batteries get stuck… The battery should fit at the end away from the selector switch and the Redeemer goes in the tunnel behind the jack – if you are handy at wiring, I like to take the old jack wires out all the way to the pots and then cut the Redeemer wires to length… otherwise, they can get tight just because of the extra wire… In really tight situations, it’s usually the battery at fault, we’ve found that a 12V A23 (garage door remote battery) can be stuffed into an N cell battery holder, and is all together a little smaller than an AA battery on its own… the trade off is that the smaller battery will only last about 60 hours, compared to the 9V lasting over 300… BTW, the Redeemer can handle up to 24V, so if you can fit two 9V or a double N holder you can take advantage of the extra headroom… We can provide extra 9V battery clips, A23 batteries or the N battery holders (for about $5) if you have trouble finding any of these… just let us know at the time you order and we’ll add them in…
